Help on HTML Browser

Note: Any HTML-compliant hypertext browser (one that can display .gif and .xbm files as in-line graphics) should work well for viewing the Discover on-screen documentation. However, the documentation was developed using NCSA's Mosaic (versions 2.4, 2.5, 2.6 beta) as the browser. All HTML tags used belong to the standard basic HTML set, except for the and tags, which are used for subscripts and superscripts.

Specifying the External Graphics Viewers

If you get an error message to the shell from which you started Mosaic when you try to view a graphics file, indicating command not found, you need to install a viewer or change the viewer that Mosaic calls by default.
